<p>The Johns Hopkins-supported Tibetan TB Control Program recently hosted a highly successful conference on TB Control in the Tibetan Population in India, providing state-of-the-art training to more than 50 Tibetan doctors and nurses. The program was hosted by the Tibetan Delek Hospital and Central Tibetan Administration Department of Health (CTA DOH), with support from the Johns Hopkins University Center for TB Research and the Italian Association for Solidarity Among People (AISPO). The conference was held from 3-6 April 2012 in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh, India, and was led by Dr. Kunchok Dorjee of the Tibetan TB Control Program at Delek Hospital. National and international guests included Dr. Ashok Kumar (India Central TB Division), Dr. AN Sreenivas (WHO), Dr. Tsering Wangchuk (Health Minister, CTA DOH), Dr. Richard Chaisson (Johns Hopkins Center for TB Research), and Dr. Daniela Cirillo (San Raffaele Scientific Institute, Italy).</p>
